Welcome to my blog! As I’m starting to write these very first words I feel like a blank canvas waiting to become a masterpiece (or at least something decent enough to cover the cracks in a wall). I’m not the best of spellers and I’m not someone who finds their words easily… so, I never thought I would be sitting here writing my very own blog. However, I feel very honored and blessed to be able to share my journey as a photographer with my family, friends, clients or anyone else who may come across this site.
I recently moved to Georgia and with this move came a lot of changes. I grew up in New York and worked there in the finance industry. After taking a three year brake to focus on my family, I realized the person who once wanted to rise her way to the top of the industry no longer existed! Throughout my life I always loved art, including photography. However, as a mom it became my absolute favorite! There is nothing like looking back at the first pictures I ever took of my sons, or seeing their first steps all over again. Even the day my oldest decided to decorate the house with snow (a.k.a baby powder), in reality it was no pleasure cleaning up the aftermath but, in a picture it seems like a sweet childhood memory. For this reason I decided to follow my heart and go into photography.
Why weddings? When a baby first laughs and you miss it, you can capture the second laugh and nobody (including you) knows the difference in a few months. At a wedding each moment is unique, beautiful, special… you have one chance to get it right and I love seeing and capturing those little details. I love seeing the groom’s face when he looks at his bride for the first time or looking at the father who’s tearfully giving away his little girl. It’s such a blessing to be a part of the best and most important day of a couple’s life.
Well, I started this entry by saying words don’t come easy to me and here I am writing an essay ;). If you can look past the run-on sentences and the misuse of grammar then welcome once again and I hope you enjoy my journey into what I love!
